my very angry vagans a couple days after she molted. her carapace looks weird… maybe it will darken up more? last time she molted her carapace was black. but, i haven’t seen her since these photos were taken. she’s a hermit.

i don’t think i’ve seen this girl out of her burrow in 6-7 months.
she’s dug all the way to the bottom of the cage so i can see her through a little peep hole in the plastic!!!
i hope she comes out now that she’s molted.. i’d love to get a good look at her!!!
i think she’s lost all trace of her baby colors.

the brazilian black and white!
she is VERY sweet! which is very surprising for this species. she’s like a little old lady! i’m absolutely in love with her!! i love the ghostly apparition like appearance of this species. i’m very thankful to have acquired one of my favorite tarantulas!!!
she’s had a rough life so far… she was “rescued” from a pet store in new york (they were housing tarantulas TOGETHER in a cage) by another tumblr user.
she’s got a little gimpy leg. watching her walk around kind of reminds me of a blind person walking with a cane!! watching her feel around and stuff… she’s awesome!!!!
